What the Second Wall War Showed in Terms of Bombing
Before the war, britan had sod prepared for huge numbers of deaths. They thought that the death toll would be enormous. What in fact, happened was that large numbers of people were left homeless, but not as many people were killed as theyd xpected. The authorities didn't know what to do with them and treated them like 'victorian beggars' A woman called ida rodway slit her husband's throat because there was nothing else she could do. This story is indicative of what was happening in october and no more extreme than most stories we'd ever imagined.
