What Happened to the Cromwells?
In 19 ty, oliver cromwell's severed head was entrusted to sydney sussex college in cambridge. To this day, his head is buried within the college - but at a secret location because of its sensitivity. And for all the restorations, language of a for ting and a er in a sort of amnesia, cromwell’s body is is exhumed. It goes through this ritual hanging, drawing and quartering, and his head is placed on a spike.
