Tuvalu Is a Microstate of Polynesia

For our next microstate we go from Europe all the way over to the middle of the pacific to the tiny island nation of Tuvalu. Tuvalu is found about halfway between Australia and Hawaii and it consists of three reef islands and six atoll spread out across hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of ocean. While its total land area is tiny if you go by economic exclusive zonetuvalu rockets right up into the top 40 largest on earth with a population of just under 12,000 people 60 of which live in the capital Funafuti.
