The Importance of Acceptance
I made a choice quite early on not to take my foster family surname. And I kind of went, no, I like being me. This is unique and there's no other person like me. So I'm going to be the first lying in my line. My name should have been Halep, which is my biological mother's name. But I have my father's name. He says he doesn't expect anybody to accept his way of life as cool or anything but that it's just how he lives.
