The Great Banquet Is Accessible, Poor and Blind

In Luke 14, Jesus tells us the church that we should invite the poor crippled lame and blind. And I love the way that you reframe that. The great banquet is accessible, it accommodates disabled and poor people, and they're invited fast. There's no talk of Kewa or condemnation. No, disabled people are just simply welcomed and accommodated. It's heartbreaking to me the way that we have functioned and ableism and haven't even thought about it,. But that the church has actively resisted these teachings of Christ.
