Tourism to the Third Reich
Tourism has been seeking a seeking out even darker things recently. Once the experience seems banal or familiar you search out even more extreme forms so I think that in the third Reich when the Nazis were very keen to promote Germany as a place of new ideas they particularly marketed visits to Dachau. It is interesting the way these things are presented to us um and it's not always easy to see the rationale when you are there behind the presenting of that.
