The Importance of Ancestors in Punk Rock

We wanted to put in some of the bands like the Stooges and Patti Smith and the New York Dolls. It's hard to imagine music happening without them at the same time. Even if album like Patti Smith's horses doesn't strike you as being as punk as like black flag it's all that's all unthinkable without it right. I think just the Ramones in general were unthinkable without Iggy and the Stooge because that was part of how they came together when they were kids.
