TikTok has become this lightning rod. It's just an example of a deeper issue relating to how China treats US companies as geopolitical pawns that we need to address. I think the separate issue of social media relates to addiction issues and mental health issues in pre-teams. But I think that people tend to be sloppy, especially in Washington, DC, and then just pass an overreaching restrict act which conflates those two separate justifications.
