The Rise of the Anthropic Principle
The sciencist system has been undergoing enormous transformations since the seventies. One of the things that happens when you lose some of your visibility, is you're able to allow more risks in. The anthropic principle seems to be being entertained now at a moment when people say 'let's try to think through ways' And if we're gon to think through we have to drop that bar. We have to actually allow some weirder ideas in and see whether they work.
