How to Do French Sewing on Silk Fabric
Always use a pressing cloth to protect the fabric from the heat of your iron. French seams work really great for light weight silk because they're very strong, and the ends will be completely enclosed. You might need to redraw the seam allowances on your pattern so that they're the right width for your technique. If you want to use a product like fray check, test it out on a scrap before you use it cause it could damage your fabric.
