The Importance of Humor in Democracy
When a comedian is really effective at saying, um, is this really how this goes? Are these really our choices? Is this really that? That's when satire is absolute best. Satire doesn't it's in straight uses irony, says one thing needs another thing. Some of us get a kick out of that; some of us get frustrated by it or maybe I feel stupid and then I don't like it and then I'm angry. More intelligent people like it just hire IQ. Why? Because you have to like effortful thinking. You have to be someone who likes mental challenge.
