CISOs are being held more and more liable for data breaches that may or may not have been part of their core ability to implement change. A lot of them are getting that quote-unquote medical malpractice version of it is part of just the scope of CISOs these days. There is also a shift in the space where CISOs now have to take out insurance on themselves in order to maintain that job.
