Introduction
This episode of the Orthobolids Podcast will go over the topic of slap lesion from the shoulder and elbow section. Slap lesions are uncommon injuries and account for less than 5% of all shoulder injuries. Risk factors include glenohumeral internal rotation deficit or GERD. The function of the biceps is to contribute to torsional and horizontal stability during the late cocking phase of throwing. Know that the superior labrum anchors the biceps tendon and is the weak link that leads to a slap lesion.
