The Field of Epidemology - John Snow

The field of epidemiology begins with john snow, not to be confused with john snow of gamothroms fame. He was an i thyseologist who wanted to understand how it spread among the poor. But he's part of a larger collection of doctors who around the empire developed ta set of practices to understand the spread of disease and then share that information as part of the london epidemiological society. That type of global comparative thinking is embedded within the definition of epidemiology.
