The Department of Justice's Disagreement Over Immunity for the President's Son

The judge did an excellent job. Most judges feel an obligation to defer to the Justice Department and to sign off on these agreements. But in this case, the judge just wanted the most basic information about what this means. What they did not expect is for a judge to be a judge. That language is indeed sweeping. The court gave them a month and we'll see.
