Metallica's Orion

classical music is not the end all be all but it is really good at this thing development and i'm not sure if metallica even fully remembers how they wrote Orion. James has said many times that cliff's classical training really came to bear on Orion That soft section of Orion has lots of development riffs and sections don't just repeat on endless unchanging loops they change and evolve and build in a way that keeps tension growing and growing.
