The End of Yuan Shurkai

On June 6th 1916 Yuan Shurkai dies from kidney failure 95 years to the date that I am uploading this podcast. The vice president Li Yuan Hong takes over as the third president of the republic. Not long after Sun Yat-sen arrives in Japan he married a great and remarkable woman who is known in history among other names as a patron saint of the left. We'll dedicate a whole podcast to Song Qingling later.
