The Importance of Keeping Someone Out of a Combat Environment
The Army might let you when they're recruiting is bad, but certainly not. The Air Force or the Marine Corps don't typically have trouble hitting the recruiting goals and they have higher standards than other people. But low level mental illnesses are a good reason to keep somebody out of a combat environment. So if you have ADHD and it's on your official record, you can't get into the military.
