The White House Is the Most Pro-Labor Party in Generations
The president had to go against his base. He knew this deal wasn't perfect, but he wasn't going to let good be the enemy of good. This White House is really pride in itself on being the most pro-labor in generations. There was a sense that it may have opened up a national conversation.
