Dorsal D Ip Joint Dislocations and Fractures

D ip joint dislocations can be dorsal, volar or lateral. Volar is often associated with open wounds due to a tight, soft tissue envelope. Tough fractures require no specific treatment, but you can consider temporary splinting. Non operative management includes close reduction plus or minus splinting as the first line of treatment.
