Is Rishi Sunak Going to Renegotiate the Northern Ireland Protocol?

Rishi Sunak has always adopted a more pragmatic position and he may believe that is some way he can stall but right now from my perspective on the grind it's difficult to see him being able to do that. At one minute past midnight on Thursday night into Friday morning if the DUP have not agreed to nominate a deputy first minister then the power sharing administration collapses. The speculation is that we're going to have an election on the 15th of December so a Christmas campaign to look forward to potentially. I think even the EU has acknowledged that there are difficulties with the Northern Ireland protocol in terms of the movement of goods.
