In the early 1980s when he was in high school, they started up the Selective Service again after it had been stopped after the Vietnam War. And under any other circumstances, if a stranger told you to go and kill other strangers, you would say, heck no. Yet we're all kind of brought up from a young age to take for granted that yeah, you should go and kill people if they strangers in Washington, DC tell you to. But no, that's crazy. Don't kill people you've never met. Certainly don't do it because other people you'venever met told you to doing it.
