Compressing Overheads Is a Man's Dilemma

A jona stock asks, somehow i can't find a way to compress loud symbols from overheads. Every time i apply compression, it removes all the things i like about it and keeps me with just the loud symbols. A transient designer can be your friend here. The attack is the one thing that you want. You want less of the sustain of the symbols. Automate the symbols first, and then fix, or, i'm sorry, not fix, but then apply whatever you need after that.
