Philosopher Dan Dennett has become deeply alarmed about the threat posed by AI chatbots that sound like us and may soon even look like us yet possess minds of their own. We have to create a sense of deep personal responsibility in the people that are doing this, says Alan Olva. The main problem is they can proliferate - it's all too easy for software to proliferate. It's going to be very hard for people to know what to trust if these things proliferate.
