Anne's Coronation
Her coronation was just as spectacular as henry and catherines had been. She has a remarkable procession through the streets of london. Many of the tableaus were designed by hans holbein. It must have cost a fortune. And in the coronation ceremony, quite remarkably and uniquely, the crown of saint edward is placed on her head. This is a crown only reserved for crowning the monarch, and it is afforded to anne as consort,. perhaps even as a preemptive crowning for the child that is in her belly. What happened next, of course, determined what happened finally.
