The Supreme Court's Decision in Morrison, v. Olson
In 1982, the House holds EPA Administrator Anne Gorsuch in contempt. The Justice Department had already declined to prosecute her for criminal contempt. In 1983, there's a subsequent House vote on a resolution that says "compliance had been affected" and further proceedings were unnecessary. This is the case that gave rise to eventually to the Supreme Court's decision in Morrison, V. Olson.
