Introduction

This episode of the Naked Bible Podcast looks at a type of biblical literature that is said to be badly misunderstood. Proverbs are axiomatic sayings that by and large are shown to be correct in life. The nature of a proverb is to dispense some sort of truism in a memorable way. To read a biblical proverb as though the statement was a prophecy is to take that proverb out of its literary context.
