Krasas - The Richest Man of Our Time
Krasas was a master of being a balancer between different sources of power and he was very, very assiduous at it. He bought support by lending small amounts of money to people, sometimes asking for it back, sometimes not. His contemporaries and later people who wrote about him understood that but they didn't think it was very attractive. The historians tended to prefer people who won battles and won wars so when they wrote about Krasas, it was often rather pejorative.
