How to Corroborate a Tip
When I get a tip, whether it be from a listener or even one of my most trusted sources, I do everything I can to corroborate. If I can't find any corroborating evidence, I file the tip away and move on. So when that first source told me about a private plane in Sacramento, I filed it away as unlikely and moved on. That is, until a second source told me that Kimberly's brother was a pilot. And that not only did he have a personal plane, but that keys had traveled on it.
