The minimum wage in portland has risen to almost 20 bucks an hour. The businesses who hire people cannot afford to pay their workersif that's the rate. That's going to lead to problems down the line with businesses are already struggling, not being able to afford as many workers as they need and or to lay off some of the ones they have.
