The Amanda Plass Murder Investigation
Jesse told police that he was cashing his paycheck when Amanda Plass was murdered. He also claimed to have bought drugs at a liquor store on the day of her death. The surveillance camera captured Jesse doing exactly what he said he did in this time frame. This meant that there was no way for Jesse to be responsible for killing Amanda because he wasn't anywhere near her apartment while she died. Police were left with nowhere else to turn, and it remained cold for two years.
