The History of the Erdos Number
I want people to have a chance to learn from you directly today. So quickly, your Erdos number is three. Tell us about the Erdos number and what's going on there. You're Erdos number zero. He has no distance from himself. If you co-authored with him, you got a one. And if you co- authored with somebody who had co-authoredwith him, yougot a two. It's sort of like a Kevin Bacon number equivalent for math where, you know, people kept track of how far they were in paper distance from Erdos.
