The first three episodes are a little random and I also fell asleep at one point when the portrait of childhood Cassian is like mysteriously crouching in the woods speaking in untranslated language. And honestly, the show is as curious about the like subtle mechanisms of power within the empire as tar is about Lydia Tar's manipulations. There is as much texture to their debates, their motivations and as much curiosity actually about why it is would you be that you would become an empire true believer there psychological curiosity on that side as well.
