A study that was recently published out of japan followed a group of 16 hundred people, s in the book, for 12 years. Those with the highest level uric acid had an 80 % increased risk of becoming demented,. A 55% increased risk of actually developing alsimers disease; and a 166% increase risk of what is called vascular demensia - not enough blood going to the brain.
