The War in Vietnam Is a Breaking Point, Right?
Vietnam veterans are trying to re-appropriate their own war as also a good war and a valiant war, right? And a war that they are owed honor, which they never received. Part of that argument is the sense that we're not all traumatized and crazy, right? So there's a rejection of the idea that most Vietnam,. that the figure of the traumatized soldier really is who the Vietnam veteran is.
