Most instructors and most people, even just any photographers in general want to help others. If all we were doing was helping others all the time, like, we wouldn't be able to have time for our family and our friends or all of that. So how can you add value to that person? And in turn, they will help you. I've gotten to do some really cool things over the last year that I never ever would have dreamed I would get to do if I didn't approach things with that kind of positive energy.
