The Importance of a Prenub in a Divorce

In Colorado, if you get divorced after a three year period, which would be considered a short term marriage, then your property is yours. The increase in value during the course of the marriage is what's considered marital property. Eric didn't appreciate how the, the legal system was set up here in that regard. He says one thing he would do differently is to have premarital counseling.
