David Frum: Sue, you have a really, really useful paragraph that gets at the kind of menopausal or perimenopausal blindness that takes place in the culture. And when you said, you know, imagine if this were happening to men and then you list the pretty common symptoms of or things that women go through in perimenopause as a way of focusing the mind - I think readers would reorient itself towards fixing this issue. How much better we would be about treating not just with hormone therapy, but marriages and counseling, psychotherapy that would be helpfulif this was a part of our conversation about the evolution of women's lives.
