The Relationship Between the Roman Empire and Judaism

All three streams flow together in this and are part of the same story. So it's not always safe to be a Jew in the Roman Empire but it's more safe to be Jewish than it is to be Christian. And the Christians are a break off group. The Romans look at their leader Jesus who they crucified. How can you worship him as a god? What does he have to do with Judaism? We kind of know that he was Jewish but the Romans are very confused about all of that.
