How to Stay Under 30% of Your Credit Score

Experts now are saying that it's not sort of this aggregate amount of credit that you're offered and you need to stay overall underneath 30%. Try not to exceed 10%, but definitely, you know, no more than 30% per card. So if you're maxing out a card, even though your total credit utilization hasn't changed, that's going to hurt your score. And we also touched on this earlier too: Every time you have a new inquiry for new credit, which is a hard inquiry -- makes up 10% of your total credit score.
