Egypt's Role in the Jihad
Egypt has a special place in the jihad because of high ranking jihadi leaders that have come from there. ISIS is trying to eliminate what they call the Grey Zone, which is the zone separating extreme Islam from every other moderate Muslim. The relationship with Egypt is somehow sewn into their DNA because of these towering figures that came from there.
