Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are disproportionately affected. They can be punished by police for calling for help, have their children removed far more readily in situations where they themselves cannot manage the threat. Non-indigenous men will see them as someone who is easier to abuse because the system makes them more vulnerable. Women with disability is another huge group. It's like a real invisible part of this crisis. There are so many groups that don't get a lot of attention,. That we're trying to give a lot more attention to in this podcast series.
