The Importance of Proof in Automated Systems
The burden of proof is always on you to prove that you're not doing fraud. That's exactly how like the Robo system in Australia work where they sent out almost a half million automated debt letters, right? And those debts were faulty. They were false. They were inaccurate. But that's not how the system was built. The solution to this is not to create insanely complex means tested machine learning models that do the opposite. It is instead to simply reverse the burden of proof. You need to prove thatyou don't need all this support.
