The Origin Story
Elie Shama Kundalbremma was born in Tanzania, moved to the States with his family when he was two years old. He is Nigerian from his father's side and Ghanaian from his mother's side. "I like that you know where you're from... It's important," Elie says of being able to identify himself as an African-American musician.
