The Clairs and Bobbit Scam
The FDA this week sent out a safety alert saying they have found asbestos in several makeup products sold at Clairs stores. Claire's has pierced over 100 million years worldwide and were considered a great alternative to piercing studios for young girls. In 2018, People Magazine reported that a seven-year-old was hospitalized and doctors had to dig her earring out with a scalpel after it became stuck. The reality is, these teenagers who are hired to do retail are not properly trained on how to pierce ears.
