The evolution of each scene is unpredictable because of strengths and weaknesses. When you try to correct the film while you're putting it together, you end up chasing your own tail. A studio executive saw that scene in Daley's where Tony Goldwyn was shirtless over and over again; they wanted him recast. So I told Jerry Zooker, the director, you know, we can do this.
