Women in Education - Shaquila Scarlett

This special episode has been dedicated to the women on our program who had a moment which made them realize they needed to speak out. Shaquila Scarlett, chair of governors at Stoke Newington School shares her incredible story. Liz Roberts was in her late 50s when she reported to the police the sexual abuse she'd suffered as a child at the hands of her brother more than half a century ago. Her brother, 67 year old Andrew Herbert, was sentenced in November 2022 after pleading guilty to 10 counts of indecent assault against two girls.
