Cancer Death Rates Have Dropped by 33% Since 1991

In 2023, it's projected there will be nearly 2 million new cancer cases and over 600,000 cancer deaths in the United States. The American Cancer Society has stated that nearly 4 million cancer deaths have been averted since 1991. Back in 1991, the cancer death rate was 215 per 100,000 people. By 2019, it dropped to 146 per 100,00 people.
