The Steering Committee Is a Very Broad Buck Stops Here
There's a surprising amount of things that despite being an open source organization with open governance aren't so easy to go talking about publicly. We have one right now where the security response committee, which is another piece of our governance outside of the SIGs and we have a couple of committees like this that handle crucial factors like code of conduct. So it's important that people go discuss these things with even like the foundation level. They've typically been a member of steering. I think they're not required to be, but usually what's worked out with someone has taken on the team and taken on that role as well.
