De-Growth and the Capitalist Class

The capitalist system is not very good at handling low growth rates or negative growth rates. To win this program of universal de-commodified goods and planned reductions of material throughputs, you actually have to take on the capitalist class. And so that's where the de-growth really has no very clear theory of change about how they're going to confront the power of the capitalists.
